Five and Five Months

Today, Jackson turns five and five months.  It seems like most of Jackson's class turned six over the Christmas holiday.  We have had fun celebrating multiple birthdays this month.  At first, Jackson insisted his next birthday was going to be at Chuck E. Cheese just like Trip's, but then Henry's took the cake!  You couldn't have asked for a better day than turning a bunch of boys loose in the woods with bb guns and face paint too.  Lillian's sweet birthday was "one"derful, and Jackson's Sunday School class celebrated Baby Jesus' birthday with a cookie cake.  Next weekend we celebrate three more!

White Christmas

New Tradition

Our newest Christmas "tradition" is a cousin's ornament exchange.  Each cousin made an ornament to share based on a "Name of Jesus."  Hopefully, this is a "tradition" we can carry on again next year.  (You have one year to illustrate your favorite Psalm or let me know a better theme.)

Sneaking

Jackson and my favorite Christmas prank this year was decorating Bill's car while he was at the hospital on call. We secretly sneaked into the hospital parking garage and attached antlers and a Rudolph nose to Bill's car for him to find the next morning.  We raced back to our car and high fived.  In the frantic excitement, Jackson exclaimed, "We're rich!!"?????

Christmas in Kindergarten

Rudolph the red nose reindeer,
Had a great shiny nose.
And if you ever saw him,
You would even say it gwows.

All of the other reindeer
used to waugh and call him names.
They never wet poor Rudolph
join in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say...
Rudolph with your nose so bright
Won't you guide my sweigh tonight.

Then how the reindeer woved him
As they shouted out with gwee,
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
You'll go down in history.

Fall Photos

Macy babysat last night while Bill and I went to an anesthesia Christmas party so I thought I would finally get around to posting pictures from the last time she kept Jackson.  Last time, the fall foliage was in peak color, and she and Jackson indulged me with an impromptu photo shoot.  The leaves were brilliant and the morning light was perfect!
