Lil' Astronaut

On Friday, Mrs. Stanley's kindergarten class donned their space suits and headed for the moon!
Before lift off, the kindergarteners assembled for a group picture with our nation's flag.

Each astronaut had their own moon kit (or "in case box" as Jackson refers to it.)
Playing musical moon rocks.

Jackson quickly pointed out the music was the theme to Star Wars.

Only two astronauts left standing.

Taking one last puff of Earth's oxygen before leaving the atmosphere.  The pictures end here because as Mrs. Stanley pointed out to another parent, we could go with them to the moon, but we wouldn't live because we didn't have on space suits.  Hopefully, they make it back to Earth soon...I can't wait to hear all about it.

Discovering Texas

Although Jackson has been to California and Colorado, he's never been west of Weatherford in our own state.  Each spring we try to take a quick trip, usually to Sea World in San Antonio.  Sad circumstances called us to Lubbock this year, but we made the best of Jackson's longest road trip to date.  After a long day in the car, Jackson (and Bugs) got to enjoy hibachi with his older cousins.  As reward for enduring one more photo shoot, Jackson got to turn the lens on us in the bluebonnets.  Today, we are two tuckered-out travelers ready for a day of REST!
