Cousins

Truly, one of the highlights of Jackson's birthday this year was getting to spend time with his cousins.
Emme, Tate and Jackson swam,
had a huge water balloon fight,
acted extra silly,
and did the Macarena
until they were WORN OUT.

Then, we went to play Putt-Putt!

Calling All Superheroes: It's Jackson's Sixth Birthday

Before heading to the "Bat Cave, Jackson's day started with Hunter's party at The Villages.

Jackson and Lizzie are friends from school and from Kid's Choir.

The snow cone truck was a huge hit.

Conner has been Jackson's friend since preschool...and is an awesome bowler!
J.T. and Jackson have had lots of fun this summer, going to a couple of movies together.

The Fourth at Five

Who would have thought the temperatures would be this mild the first week of July?!  I think we did a great job of taking advantage of the beautiful nights and holiday.

For the past couple of years, I've tried to teach Jackson about the American Revolution.  At one point, he was pretty obsessed with being a British soldier!  This year, I was so busy with Reading Camp I didn't do much, but he did get a new Fourth of July book full of patriotic quotes by our Presidents:

"Our most precious resources, our greatest hope for the future, are the minds and hearts of our people, especially our children."--Ronald Reagan
