Sunsets
We arrived at our mountain top cabin just as the sun was setting over the Arkansas mountains. Then on our way home, we were able to watch as the sun set over the Oklahoma mountains.
State Lines
Jackson has previously been to seven states in the last seven years. Our quick Thanksgiving road trip increased that number to ten. Now, only forty more to go!
Jackson's Thanksgiving Adventure
After much deliberation, we headed to northwest Arkansas for Thanksgiving. We were able to discover so many interesting sights. Pea Ridge National Military Park was right up Jackson's alley! The rock cliffs provided us a fun natural playground.
Second Grade This Fall
This year Jackson has completed two projects. First, he did a salt map. He was much more interested in the second project, Greek Mythology. Jackson portrayed Hephaestus in the class' living museum. He LOVED it!
For his object, Bill helped him create a working volcano.

For Thanksgiving, second grade had a Thanksgiving Feast. For the first five minutes, the children ate while standing silently just as real Pilgrim children would have at the very first Thanksgiving.
