Tablescapes

It's no secret that I love pumpkins and fall and tablescapes.  As usual Emme's birthdayscape was no exception.  From the pumpkins, fresh flowers, adorable cake, fruit, candles, ribbon, candy to the banner behind, no detail was missed!  And I LOVED the color palette of the  cute cake!

The Way Home

After the perfect weekend in Weatherford, it seemed like the perfect autumn afternoon to take in Yesterland Farm.  With so many other activities, we still hadn't been to a pumpkin patch.  This was one we have definitely wanted to try.  With it's rides, maze, guns and slingshots, it did not disappoint!  And we were able to enjoy the very last hour and a half they were open this fall!  We will definitely be going back next year.

Emme's Harvest Party

We had a great time giving thanks for Emme's

SIXTH birthday this weekend.  As usual, the decorations were fabulous and the scarecrow cake was both delicious and precious.

 There were games
and a hayride.

The kids played until dark.

Then it was time for a movie

and s'mores!

NOLA

It is now our office's official policy to attend the American Dental Association's convention every other year.  This weekend was our second time to do so.  After close to ten hours driving in sometimes torrential rain, we were beyond thrilled to arrive at our destination, New Orleans, Louisiana.
On Saturday, Aracely and I skipped our afternoon classes and headed to the swamp.

The first wildlife we spotted was a snake being attacked by a cat.  Then we got to see this guy, a banana spider.

It wasn't long before we saw our first gator.

Bill and Aracely both held it.

Aracely even fed the larger alligator a juicy chicken leg.

We ate jambalaya, meat pies, beignets, turtle soup, and oysters.

To conclude our trip we ate at world-famous Commander's Palace.
