NOLA

It is now our office's official policy to attend the American Dental Association's convention every other year.  This weekend was our second time to do so.  After close to ten hours driving in sometimes torrential rain, we were beyond thrilled to arrive at our destination, New Orleans, Louisiana.
On Saturday, Aracely and I skipped our afternoon classes and headed to the swamp.

The first wildlife we spotted was a snake being attacked by a cat.  Then we got to see this guy, a banana spider.

It wasn't long before we saw our first gator.

Bill and Aracely both held it.

Aracely even fed the larger alligator a juicy chicken leg.

We ate jambalaya, meat pies, beignets, turtle soup, and oysters.

To conclude our trip we ate at world-famous Commander's Palace.
